LIFE GREEN TIC participates in the XIV edition of the European Green Week

From the 3rd to 5th June, the European Green Week took place in Brussels, dedicated in 2014 to the Circular Economy.

With this aim, various representatives of two of the LIFE GREEN TIC project partners have shown the objectives and progress up to date, sharing a booth with other ongoing LIFE projects.
The Circular Economy concept perfectly suits this project that has among its targets the efficient use of resources and ecodesign searching for the minimisation of hazardous wastes produced (fewer use of toxic elements, recyclability, durability…). Green technologies can also be the suitable tool to make circular economy concept a reality, facilitating the energy efficiency and the recovery of wastes to become raw materials.
The booth has received the visit of a wide number of environmental institutions and professionals as well as researchers who have shown a great interest in the project, its objectives and results. All of them were invited to think about their actual behaviour in relation with their use of ICT apart from the project technical aspects.
Networking and all conversations that took place will be very useful not only in the dissemination of the project at a European level but also to establish interesting collaborations that will allow a better achievement of the project objectives.
