The LIFE GREEN TIC project will be presented together with another Life project (DOMOTIC) in the framework of the XVII International Exhibition MATELEC. This Fair's main objective is to show technologically innovative sistems, solutions and services for the monitoring and efficient management of electricity.

Both projects, financed by the EU LIFE financial instrument, have a common aim: to contribute to the use of electronic devices as well as information and communication technologies (ICT) with the purposes of saving energy and fighting climate change.

On the one hand, electronic devices and ICT provide great opportunities for improving the management of buildings, energy, transport, waste and water management and several other applications. On the other hand, green ICT policies must be put in practice to minimise the environmental impacts (energy consumption, waste generation, hazardous substances) caused by the proliferation of electronic devices.

These points of view, addressed by both GREEN TIC and DOMOTIC projects are explained and can be discussed in booth 4N11, in the KNX zone of MATELEC.

Moreover, the first 100 visitors receive a hardcopy of the DOMOTIC project final publication for a detailed description of results and lessons learned in the framework of that project.
