Apart from visiting the data centre (which has been designed and is operated taking into account energy efficiency criteria and standards), the Supercomputing Centre Foundation presented to the visitors several projects in which the centre is taking part and analysed possible sinergies with GREEN TIC project.

Among those projects, special attention was placed on the INTERREG SUDOE FI4VDI “Development of a federated infrastructures network for the generation of desktop’s virtualization services”. This project arise to promote innovation and to establish stable cooperation networks on technological issues with the aim of harmoniously integrate the SUDOE regions and to improve accessibility to information networks, boosting sustainable urban development when benefiting from the positive effects of transnational cooperation.
