LIFE GreenTIC COMES TO A COLLABORATION AGREEMENT WITH THE IT TECHNICIANS ASSOCIATION (ATI)

The agreement has as immediate objective the promotion of ATI’s member’s participation in the GreenTIC – Emprende competition and the participation of those professional training centres with which ATI collaborates. The aim is to promote the emergence of ideas, projects and actions that contribute to reduce ICT carbon footprint; to raise awareness among professionals and IT students and to promote the use of ICT to fight climate change.

 

ATI, the IT Technicians Association is a non-profit organisation founded in 1967. LIFE GreenTIC project has set up a collaboration agreement that will allow IT students and professionals to have a first-hand knowledge of the LIFE project objectives ant to participate in the different project activities, contributing professional knowledge and training needs, firstly in the GreenTIC – Emprende contest.

ATI is an organisation addressed to those, in any professional level and productive sector, developing their professional activity in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) field.

Its main objective is the defence, promotion and implementation of the activity of those who work as technicians and professionals in the field of information technologies, providing their associates with the interchange of experiences, training and information on the aforesaid technologies and at the same time contributing to their promotion and development through the study of their impact on society and citizens and boosting the relationships with their social and economic environment, collaborating with other IT professional organisations in this country and abroad.

ATI is the main, more numerous and most veteran professional IT organisation in Spain, working as an open community, connected to the main international organisations such as CEPIS (Council for European Professional Informatic Societies), IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing), CLEI (Centro Latinoamericano de Estudios en Informática) or ECWT and with vocation of influencing the professional development of IT workers in our country.

ATI also has collaboration agreements with several Professional Training Centres with the aim of creating links that allow to bring the experience and professional career of ATI and its members to the IT technicians to come.
