Logroño’s city council hosts the first monitoring meeting of LIFE GREEN TIC Project

The major of Logroño welcomes participants
Logroño’s city Council hosted last February 4th the first LIFE “Green Tic” monitoring meeting, with the participation of representatives from the 3 project partners and the European Commission’s technical assistance.

The participants were welcomed by the city mayor, Ms. Concepción Gamarra, who showed her interest on being informed about the project’s progress and results, which she considers of vital importance for the Smart City process in which the city of Logroño is involved.

On the course of the meeting, progress on the first four months of the Project implementation was assessed. For the moment, the activity has focused mainly on the methodological definition for the energy consumption and CO2 emissions’ inventories of ICT devices and in the development of GREEN ICT Strategic Plans.

At the same time, benchmarking activities are already in place with the aim of analysing already existing experiences and initiatives related to good practices in the fields of ICT use and Green procurement. As part of the meeting, the working strategy of the social participation lab and the Green solutions creation (that will be managed through a blog and a Facebook profile) were analysed.
